Replacement Parts.
In December of 1999, (Thermal Metal Treating Inc.) installed a
full set of ADVANCED ALLOY roller rails in (our batch) furnace,
(which is) subjected to a high carbon atmosphere and a temperature
averaging 1750°F. At this time there are no signs of warping,
bowing, or cracking as we had seen with our standard alloy rails
in the past. We plan to apply this material to other components
that are prone to failures
.

At Halliburton, we installed ADVANCED ALLOY rails and rollers
in our #2 batch furnace in March 2000. The #2 is running loads
on the average of 1700 pounds in a neutral, hardening application.
Beside the furnace is the #6 batch furnace using HT alloy rails
and rollers, installed one month later. The #6 is running a carburizing
atmosphere, with loads averaging 800 pounds. Despite the more
severe application, the advanced alloy parts still look good,
with no signs of distortion.

(Hansen-Balk Steel Treating)…installed the ADVANCED ALLOY AA51S
in our (batch) furnace in October 1998 and (has) experienced excellent
success with this new alloy. At this time, we have experienced
no deterioration of the alloy and we are continuing to run our
furnace (five) days per week, (2) shifts per day, four to seven
loads per shift.
We are so confident in this alloy that we have made subsequent
purchases of the AA51S for our continued use in our other furnaces.
